Editorial Policy

How we source data, verify information, and maintain independence

Data Sources & Methodology

All odds data on ScoreMon is sourced directly from the sportsbooks' own feeds, refreshed every 15 minutes. We currently aggregate two providers: Pinnacle & Dafabet. Each odds figure displayed is a real, currently available price — not a historical snapshot or estimate.

Predictions

Every probability on ScoreMon is derived from the market: the fair win probability is the no-vig consensus of Pinnacle & Dafabet, and where a pick record is shown it includes every loss. No human editor selects which picks to highlight or hide.

Sharp vs Recreational Analysis

We classify the books we carry as "sharp" (Pinnacle) or "recreational" (Dafabet) based on their known market-making practices. Sharp books set their own lines based on balanced action from professional bettors. Recreational books copy sharp lines with wider margins. When the sharp and recreational lines diverge by more than 4%, we flag it as a market signal.

Affiliate Relationships

ScoreMon earns revenue through affiliate links to sportsbooks. This does not influence our odds data, predictions, or margin analysis. We display the same odds regardless of whether a sportsbook has an affiliate partnership with us — our editorial principle is complete data, not selective promotion.

Content Standards

  • All odds figures are verifiable against source sportsbooks
  • Predictions include confidence scores and historical accuracy
  • Margin calculations use standard overround formulas
  • League standings and form data sourced from TheSportsDB
  • Team name translations verified against Wikidata and local sports conventions
  • No sponsored content disguised as editorial

Editorial Team

ScoreMon is operated by a small team of sports data engineers and quantitative analysts based in Asia-Pacific. Our editorial decisions are data-driven: we build algorithms that surface insights from raw odds data, rather than writing opinion-based predictions.
